New Jersey S.O.R.A. Certification and Re-Certification Classes
Security Officers Registration Act (S.O.R.A.) -
The Security Officer’s Registration Act became law in 2007 and requires all persons employed as contract security officers within the state of New Jersey to acquire and maintain a state issued certification. Qualified applicants have undergone a background screening process, successfully completed an approved initial 24 hour training course and become registered with the New Jersey State Police before beginning employment.
Professional Investigation and Consultation Services of New Jersey is keenly aware that a great deal of energy is expended with locating classes, scheduling personnel or traveling to recertification classes.
In an effort to become a value added service to your agency and staff, we are pleased to offer flexible class opportunities. Eager to accommodate your training requirements, we conduct on site recertification training sessions at your facility. Onsite training minimizes the impact to the officer and maximizes opportunity of recertifying greater numbers of staff at one time.
We also acknowledge those Security Officers seeking independent recertification opportunities and support their efforts by providing the same degree of flexibility in scheduling our classes. Off-site recertification classes are scheduled periodically. Our "on-request" class sizes start at 4 and include volume discounts at affordable rates.
Our staff of certified instructors have met New Jersey State Police training standards, are fully insured and have years of teaching experience. Please contact us to discuss your training requirements at 1-855-4-NJ-SORA or email us for more information.
