Steven Vardakis, Founding Partner
A career law enforcement executive with over 26 years of investigative and management experience, he retired in 2005 to later form Professional Investigation and Consultation Services of New Jersey, LLP. As a law enforcement executive he served as a plain clothed Investigator, Supervisor and Division Commander with administrative oversight of Criminal Investigations and Support Services over a 10 year tenure. He handled Criminal Investigation Case Management, Evidence Collection and Retention and has served as both the Internal Affairs Commanding Officer as well as an Investigator.
Upon retirement, his experiences lead him to corporate security with a global pharmaceutical company. There he was charged with identifying deficiencies and implementing policy changes. He is the former Head of Site Security Operations at their Corporate Headquarters and had oversight responsibilities at multiple Research and Development sites throughout the U.S.
He is highly respected for his credibility and has been endorsed for his investigative skills by the legal, law enforcement and private communities. Steven Vardakis is a licensed private investigator and has operational responsibility for Private Investigations at the company.
Rebecca L. Hotz, Partner
A career Security executive with over 20 years of experience, Rebecca L. Hotz recently joined Professional Investigation and Consultation Services of New Jersey as a Partner. She brings with her, extensive knowledge and experience in private security which include Executive Protection, Contract Security Workforce Management, Risk and Threat Assessments and Regulatory Compliance audit preparation.
Some of her notable accomplishments have included the management of security protection for well-known celebrities and corporate executives, coordination of residential "safe room" construction and the successful management of her Jersey City (NJ) client's security concerns during this country's tragic 9/11 period. More recently she has worked with both private and public educational institutions to author anti-bullying policies for their educational facilities.
Rebecca specializes in Healthcare and Educational Security Services and provides guidance in the area of Joint Commission Accreditation for medical facilities. A consummate professional, she holds numerous FEMA certifications and will have oversight of the company's Crisis Management, Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Programs
